Attack Path Analysis

How relationships reveal realistic routes to critical systems.

Why it matters

Attack path analysis models relationships between external assets, identities, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, network access and critical systems. It helps teams understand how separate findings can become a connected attack scenario.

What a mature approach looks like

The strongest use case is prioritization. If several findings lead toward a sensitive asset, the combined path can deserve attention even when individual findings do not appear exceptional in isolation.

What to consider

A useful attack graph should explain the path, show the contributing exposures and identify the remediation actions that break the path.
